SEMINARS
For a lot of people, going to see an estate planning lawyer is a bit like being called in to the Principal's office. There is also a lot of misinformation, confusion, and even fear that surrounds estate planning. So, we created our free seminars with the primary goal of dispelling that fear and shedding some light on what estate planning, and even more specifically, legacy planning, is all about.
Our most popular program is based on the Top Ten Myths and Misconceptions list we originally developed for a blog post. This presentation typically lasts about an hour, including a Q&A session at the end. Based on the needs of the audience, however, the program can be scaled back to either a 30- or 45- minute program. Designed as a basic introduction to estate planning, the purpose of the program is to inform people of the consequences of failing to plan (or planning badly) by explaining how each myth and misconception is false.
In 2021, Amy has also written and spoken about estate planning lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the importance of having medical directives in place.
We love sharing about what we do with the public. Call or email us to schedule a seminar (or perhaps a series of seminars) for your employees, clients, civic organization, church congregation, or other group. We look forward to being a part of your next event!
